Inside Outdoors: House by Fernanda Marques
This house by Fernanda Marques is very original. Integrating the house and outdoors the designer has created an area where one can reside and breathe the fresh air. A one-story house is 250 square meters and has a pond, outdoor eating and lounge areas as well as different rooms that are connected with the outdoors through transparent glass walls and ceilings.
Being inside feeling like one is outside. I believe that to be a key issue in understanding the interior design being produced today. In times when environmental awareness is growing, and, of course, also the desire to be close to nature.
The outdoor area doesn’t feel like an entirely different dimension. On the contrary it is an independent part of the house that happens to be outside the brick closed walls. The wooden beams that connect different rooms make help integrate the indoors and outdoors.
The rooms are located in different premises. Living room and kitchen are connected. Some rooms feature a stone wall combined with tile. The kitchen features an amazing asymmetrical stone stand that serves as table but the eating area is also located in front of the kitchen outside.
The bedroom features a wooden ceiling and floors and glass walls and doors. combining the office and bedroom it also features a wall of bookshelves and a desk. The living room also features a stone wall, feature wall with shelves and a sitting area with mirror-surfaced coffee table. The ceiling is opaque with a narrow opening probably for letting more natural lighting in.

That’s really a interesting house, look so calm an fresh, but there is one thing that worried about “What happens if it rain?”
And I want to know where that place is?
