30 Square Meter Apartment in Paris Looks Airy and Spacious
French architect Richard Guilbault has redesigned a small apartment in Paris for a young couple turning four boxy rooms into a bright airy living room with a storage wall and an adjacent compact kitchen with an island cum breakfast counter.
Solving most of the space problem with one integrated storage wall allowed for most of the apartment to be occupied by the living room. The bedroom and a shower are neatly tucked behind the kitchen featuring compact space and ascetic but functional design and decor. A sliding door provides even more privacy for the bedroom.
The storage wall does not only accomodate equipment and appliances. It also functions as a pantry and wine cellar as well as the wardrobe. Thanks to this the living room is flooded with natural light from the tall windows that make the low ceiling look a bit taller.
