Laundry is an important routine that takes a little time but the equipment to perform this routine can take some space in your house. Some laundry rooms are also kitchens and bathrooms but there are more design ideas for a laundry room. Since all you need for a laundry room is a washing machine and maybe a dryer there can be a lot spare space left in the room.

Laundry Room Design Ideas

Laundry & Dressing Room

Laundry and clothes are related so why not combine these two rooms? There is the space for laundry and the other half of the room can be used to store clothes and change. You can separate the room by putting a divider between the laundry and a dressing area. You can also use different decorating styles in both areas to demarcate the two rooms.

Laundry Room & Kitchen or Bathroom

Kitchens and bathrooms with the laundry equipment is not a new idea but it’s a common one. It’s handy and space-conscious so if you don’t have any spare room specifically for all the laundry and cleaning equipment then keeping your ‘laundry room’ in your kitchen or bathroom can save some space.

Laundry Room & Workshop

If you work with the clothes and don’t mind a little machine noise then keeping your laundry equipment in your workshop you can again save some space and keep your laundry equipment out of other high-traffic areas such as kitchen and bathroom.

Laundry Cleaning Room

Laundry and cleaning room ideally coexist. There you can keep cleaning tools and wash products, mop, ironing board, clean and fresh bed linens and towels and many other things useful for running a household. It’s an ultimate organization of space.

Laundry room can be decorated in any decorating style you want but since it’s low-traffic area that should be practical most people opt for a modern or minimalist style and calm and neutral color scheme. But if you want to jazz up your laundry room a bit you can opt for brighter shades when you are choosing a color scheme. Adding accessories can also make the room more homey and welcoming.
