Rubik’s Cube Chest of Drawers

Makendo from Instructables has created a chest of drawers that looks like a super-sized Rubik’s Cube. Interesting colorful piece also needs to be solved. Makendo has created this chest of drawers for his son’s room but it comes with a riddle as well. The drawers are not immediately visible so it takes effort to solve where they are as well as open them as each feature a hidden lock in various locations.

This cubic piece of furniture has only one of the three required axes of rotation, so is unsolvable in the conventional sense, but can be arranged in any configuration you like by non-sporting means. The drawers do pose a brain-bending challenge: the first thing you have to solve is detecting that they’re there, and all three have hidden locks in different locations.

The Rubik’s Cube is a popular toy and quite challenging. The creator has managed to bring in that challenge to his Rubik’s Cube chest of drawers. Besides it’s functional and colorful as well as developing which is just a right combination for kids room.
