Anglican Moonee Ponds church of 1892 in Melbourne has been converted into a modern home and listed for sale by Bagnato Architects. The church was extended and also enhanced with a hall and a vicarage early after its contruction. Now it features a loft for lounging or working as well as a wood-clad attic with big skylights and windows.

The luxury interior is finished with limestone floors, Baltic Pine ceilings and Calacatta marble in the kitchen, which also features a butler’s pantry and Ilve double oven. The color scheme is very modern and neutral, white and dark gray with introduction of natural wood.

The basement with a wine cellar also features a gym and games room as well as a bathroom with a day bed retreat. The wine bottles occupy one of the walls while the area around may be used as a wine tasting room.

The outdoors are landscaped and features a BBQ kitchen and an eating area. The lawn features a hidden 6000L water tank while the swimming pool has a solar heating system.

There is also a double garage and plenty of storage space to make it an ultimate modern home with all the amenities for luxurious and comfortable living. The owners are hoping to auction the home off for more than $2.4 million since they describe the property as a 5 star hotel.

The most amazing thing about this church is the arched window in the extension that gives the place plenty of sunlight but also makes for a great architectural detail.
