Romatic Design: Shabby Chic Bedroom
Shabby Chic is a great decorating style. It’s certainly to create a romantic atmosphere in the bedroom. Shabby chic is just for all sorts of DIY projects, flea market finds and redecorating. The key to the shabby yet chic look is to let the things be what they are. Often the shabby chic designs feature old classic furniture with cracked paint and worn look, dated designs and antique finds. It’s all about arranging the chic worn things in a harmonious way.
Traditional Bed
A traditional classic bed made of wood or metal with ornaments can be a great focal point to the room bringing in the instant shabby chic flair. The floral motifs are also quite common for the style so if a wallpaper is not an option the floral bed linens can do the trick.
Shabby Furniture
A shabby vintage side table or chest can be a great addition to the room. Think dated or antique furniture. Glamorous and clean “shabby chic” is pretty popular as well. So the fresh coat of paint is possible. Look for classic curvy shapes and carved wooden ornaments in furniture items.
Dated Look
Shabby chic can easily handle the dated-looking furniture, decorations and objects. Antique decorations and items can also add charm to the bedroom. Using the crackle paint technique you can achieve the dated and worn look in furniture and even the walls.
