International Furniture Fair Imm Cologne 2014 has once again become a place of presentation of the furniture market novelties. Creativity, naturalness and individuality are the main criteria for interior decoration.

Trends at the Imm Cologne Fair 2014

The Imm Cologne 2014 exhibition was held from 13 to 19 January 2014 in Cologne, which hosted the furniture designers and manufactures with their latest achievements in furniture industry. The furniture trend makers demonstrated new ideas and put forward new directions for the near future. Here are some outstanding show-pieces from the Fair.

A room, decorated in one style, is no longer in vogue. Now the trending interior contains details, which reflect the host’s inner world and dreams, stories from his life. Designer Alexander Seifried’s inspirations by his travel experiences resulted in a model, which looks like a separate room in the room.  The model was designed for the German company Richard Lampert. It gives the room a special touch.

Artist Jane Worthington came up with a surround and very comfortable rocking sofa. The sofa was designed for the Dutch furniture manufacturer Leolux. Her project has received the Interior Innovation Award, established by the Association of German Industrial Designers (Verband Deutscher Industrie Designer) and awarded annually at the Imm Cologne.
