How To Use Faux Fireplace In Home Decor
A fireplace is a wanted feature in almost any home but what to do when the fireplace is not possible to install/not necessary due to warm climate/doesn’t work? There are many ways you can use a fireplace mantel and keep your decor classy and creative.
Faux Fireplace In Home Decor
If you don’t use your old fireplace there are many ways you can reuse it without the hassle of chimney cleaning and wood log storage. First of all, a fireplace/mantel is a perfect focal point. You can keep it and have your old fireplace cleaned once and for all to be able to use it as a planter pot niche, bookcase, DVD storage and so much more.
If you didn’t have a fireplace to start with you can install a mantel and use it the same way. The depth of the matel will determine how much space you’ll have inside your faux fireplace so if you want to use it as bookcase be sure to invest in a deep mantel.
Other uses for faux fireplace include display storage, holiday/seasonal decor, open shelving, and more. It can also be used as a console table even in such areas as hallways.
When choosing a mantel consider the style of your house. If it’s traditional you can opt for more ornate mantels, for modern houses choose simpler designs as they will fit better into existing decor. You can treat or disguise the wall that shows through the mantel with wallpaper, chalkboard or other materials. Also the mantel does not necesserily have to be one color with the walls, you can paint it in a contrasting bold hue to add a pop of color to the decor.
A faux fireplace is a great addition to the living room as it gives the room a more traditional look as well as allows arranging furniture around it for better composition.

does it seem like some of the remarks come across like coming from brain dead folks?
