Shabby Chic Decorating Style

So what is shabby chic anyway? You probably already guessed. It’s when you put more effort into making your interior look older rather than newer. It’s not just that though. It should not miss the ‘chic’ part. If you like antiques, vintage artworks and simply old, worn beautiful things then shabby chic decorating style is for you.

Shabby chic look is not difficult to achieve. Combining country and cottage styles as well as throwing in elements of rustic design you can create something truly unique using old lush furniture, faded bedding and vintage interior accessories and decorations.

Using recycled things can also add an old touch to your home decor. The order of things is not necessary, try to balance the shabby and chic parts. The pillows can be of different sizes and colors and prints. Throw in all vintage things to to emphasize the old-ness of your interior. You can find many beautiful vintage things for decor on flee markets and vintage shops.
