Aichinger House covered with draped fabric was remodeled by Hertl Architekten. The Aichinger House used to be a restaurant that is now converted into two flats. The house is draped in gray fabric the pieces of which are fixed at the roof and the ground levels as well as at the sides which creates a sort of pattern.

The drapery adds texture to the house exterior which is usually achieved through tiles and other finishing. The fabric also provides some privacy as it covers up most of the house’s exterior. Such unconventional approach to materials in architecture makes for interesting and fresh design.
