Victorian decorating style has originated during Victorian era and is commonly described as opulent and luxurious. Victorian style is nowhere near minimalism. It is very in decorations, accessories, which are quite ornate and flamboyant themselves. Shortly, the more you have on display the better. Exotic materials and heavy woods were made available during Victorian era. But today you can find pieces of Victorian style furniture in cheaper materials. Velvet, leather and other luxurious fabrics are common in Victorian decor.
