Philips DesignLine TV
Authoritative international jury of experts noted with admiration an excellent design of Philips DesignLine, which runs counter to the usual concept of how a TV should look.
IF gold trophy were awarded to only 50 of the 1220 award winners of iF Product Design Award 2014, which is among the most prestigious awards for innovative industrial design and is supported by the International Forum Design GmbH, Hanover.
Unique style of Philips DesignLine harmoniously complements any modern interior. The front part of these televisions, hiding the idle screen, is a single glass panel with a smooth transition of color from black to transparent. When you turn on the TV, transparent lower part gives the impression that the screen is floating in the air. Tripartite lights Ambilight XL enhances this effect, projecting a glow on the wall behind the TV, which exactly matches the colors of the screen.
According to Rod White, Senior Creative Director of TP Vision, in creating the Philips DesignLine they tried to make it a harmonious interior detail, using forms and materials that challenge the usual understanding of the design. Gold Award iF is an honor for the whole TP Vision team, continue to create elegant TVs beyond traditions and open rich possibilities of modern technology for the users.
Philips DesignLineis a weightless design with three-backlit Ambilight XL, glass panel with a smooth transition of color from black to transparent.
