Сosta Rican Airplane Hotel “Costa Verde”
Tourists all over the world prefer different types of hotels. Some hotels attract their visitors by luxury interiors, some by delicious food, and others have favorable locations. But this exclusive hotel will attract you by something else. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you Сosta Rican Airplane Hotel “Costa Verde” – hotel made out of the plane.
Exclusive Airplane Hotel In Costa Rica “Costa Verde”
The plane did not crash in the wild jungle, as it might seem at first glance, but was rescued by local hoteliers from certain death at the dump of the airport in San Jose. Hotel workers saw the article in the Forbes magazine, which said that the company was selling the house made of Boeing 727 shells. Sellers were claiming that the material is very sturdy. But Hotel Costa Verde has decided to play on the originality of the idea to live on board than on a safety. They have refurbished a vintage airframe, which in its prior life shuttled globetrotters for South Africa Air and Avianca Airlines (Colombia). This fully outfitted, meticulously detailed, two bedroom, Boeing 727 fuselage suite jets out from the jungle canopy, affording you the views that will make you feel like you’re flying.
The renewed plane resembles a cozy farmhouse from the inside and the furniture is not that modern. The walls and floors are covered with panels of teak wood. Carved furniture was handmade by Indonesian craftsmen from the Java island. Each piece of furniture is a masterpiece, craftsmen would spend around a week to create one of these chairs. But it’s totally worth it and rooms look nice and cozy.
The plane wasn’t that big. There are only two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining area on the board and a spacious terrace, built on an airplane wing.
You can enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean from the windows of Costa Verde, and from the wing of an airplane you can observe the life of the wild monkeys, sloths and toucans.
Having problems with aerophobia? Hotel Costa Verde will make you feel like you are flying while you are still on the ground.
