If you will be hosting guests often in the garden then maybe more of a formal style will suit your needs. If you want to simply enjoy the greenery then wild or natural way the vegetation grows will suit your garden.
Plants should be picked carefully by season, texture, foliage and color. Again if you don’t want to spend much time in the garden grooming and caring for flowers choose low-maintenance plants that will look good most times. Choose some anchor plants like evergreens that will add texture to your garden. Some trees are also great as carcass for your garden design.

Then decide on what type of garden you want and then and only then proceed to the actual designing process. Evaluating the site is very crucial as the lack of sun or bad soil will ruin all your endeavors of creating a beautiful garden.
