Louis Vuitton Creates Collection of Foldable Furniture
Louis Vuitton created a collection of foldable furniture called Objets Nomades made from brand’s nomade leather. To create a 16-piece collection the brand collaborated with such designers such as Oki Sato, Patricia Urquiola, Maarten Baas, Atelier Oi and Christian Liaigre. The collection also includes travel accessories.

Folding Beach Chair
The collection includes a Folding Beach Chair designed by Maarten Baas that features a metalic frame and leather straps that hold the chair’s back and leather handles to carry it like a suitcase. A great solution for the rest on a wild beach.
A roll-out LED lamp designed by Oki Saton of Nendo has a perforated leather body and rolls out into a nice lamp with a gentle glow. The other lamp design was conceived by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby and works on solar power.
A hammock by Atelier Oi is made of leather strips fixed together with metal parts in a certain pattern. For enhanced comfort it has a small leather pillow.
Maracatu, Limited-Edition Hanging Travel Cabinet
Limited-Edition Hanging Travel Cabinet, Maracatu by Campana Brothers looks more like a home decoration with its fringe-heavy design. It features a zip fastener and a metallic hanger detail.
Handbags by Patricia Urquiola turn into stools with metal bases.
The rest of the collection includes a leather stool that collapses into a suitcase, a swing chair with a knitted base and two leather cushions, an unfolding desk, and a neck cushion. The collection was unveiled during Design Miami 2012 design forum. The collection is made for those who likes to travel a lot and travel in style. Nomade leather and other materials used for the collection make for very luxurious line of furniture that is mobile and functional but also makes for stylish travel accessories.
