The London Design Festival is an annual nine-day festival of contemporary design where international community of creative designers gathers together. This year it will be held from 13 to 21 September.

First staged in 2003, London Design Festival became one of the most important design events over the last twelve years and is used as a gateway for the designers and innovators all around the world. Hundreds of the best design companies from all around the world will stage more than 300 events and exhibitions during the event.

The festival will be full of workshops, special events, and forums about the role of design in a prosperous future. There are going to be several installations and displays around The Victoria and Albert Museum, the main building of The London Design Festival 2014. That’s where you can pick up information, visit interesting installations and events, enjoy the atmosphere or just make it a meeting point. Everyday there’s going to be a theme: graphics, architecture, future, home, interactive, London and digital weekend, which makes the Festival more interesting.

There will be six official design districts located all over the capital during the Festival. These are going to be the areas with big concentrations of design activity and events. Each of those will offer an interesting mix of designers, new products, installations and innovations, all under one roof. They are pretty close to each other so it’s going to be easy to travel on foot. This year there are going to be two new design districts in Islington and Queens Park.

Festival’s audience is of over 350,000 people from over 60 countries. And even you can be a part of this event and purchase tickets to individual sessions from £20-50. London Design Festival is something you don’t want to miss.
