Andrea Castrignano, designer and “Cambio Casa, Cambio Vita” host, created a stylish and efficient house design concept that he named Hi Home and showcased in Milan at Salone Internazionale del Mobile. This design concept is based around environment-friendly materials and energy-saving technology that all together makes for a contemporary stylish home.

According to designer:

The project was developed with the aim of creating an ideal environment, using the most innovative solutions in the field of energy saving, renewable sources and use of advanced home automation, with the assistance of outstanding brands interacting among themselves.

The ‘sample house’ was installed in designer’s loft studio in Milan. It’s designed in modern style and neutral color palette with pops of brights in accessories like rugs, lamps and a green side chair. The floors are covered with worn-look wood and area rugs while the bathroom walls are clad in houndstooth pattern and the shower enclosure in green striped coverings. By the way, the ceiling of a shower enclosure is covered with lichen.

The open plan interior features a storage unit that hides the kitchen except the white square kitchen island and houses a TV. There is also a dining room with mural-covered walls. There is also a bedroom with a storage wall with shelves for books and display items.

The feel of this contemporary home is quite cozy and yet stylish. Especially good look the houndtooth pattern on the bathroom walls and floor in contrast with solid black and white tile and those cool heavy square wash basins in the green bathroom.

Another eye-catchy texture can be seen in the bathroom walls that are covered with small round tiles that contrast with the square floor tiles.
