Corliss Chair by Studio DUNN

Corliss chair plays on the contrast between soft and warm maple and cold but colorful aluminum. The chair seat is made in wood with back legs slanted while the back of the chair is made of aluminum which is painted with different colors that contrast with light wood.

The back in Corliss chair is slightly curved in the middle while the two aluminum tubes are slightly slanted back from the seat just like the back legs of the chair. While this creates a dynamic in shape the contrast between the wood and metal makes it an interesting combination style-wise.
