Haslam Designs Collection for Oka
Nicky Haslam, designer
The house is a tiny hunting pavilion in Hampshire, on the border of the Dogmersfield Park. It was built in the 1740s. Among its previous owners was the great English decorator John Fowler, one of the founders of Colefax and Fowler. As Haslam is his big fan he jumped at the opportunity when the house was put on market.
It was in 1970s, and since then Nicky was tirelessly improving the house, filling it with antiques, vintage fabrics and other lovely little things.

When Oka (founded in 1999 by three beautiful ladies-designers, Annabel Astor, Lucinda Waterhouse and Sue Jones) approached him with a proposal to make a personalized collection of furniture for them, Haslam did not look far for inspiration. He just looked around, sitting on his sofa in his favorite room, and reproduced the most vivid and interesting things from his own interior.
