4 Styles for Loft Design

Share |

Signs of a classic industrial loft are massiveness and a rough look. Another special feature of the loft style is the presence of “manufacture details”. Remains of factory machinery, metal stairs and exposed pipes play a role of art objects and designers tend to put them on display rather than hiding them.

Four Stunning Loft Designs

Loft itself is a style that can be integrated into the interior of an ordinary apartment or house. Today, however, lofts are also designed in different styles and can be very different from each other. We present four different loft designs in this article.

This apartment in Stockholm is a great example of a stunnin loft designed in the two-bedroom apartment in Stockholm, Sweden. The spacious living area combines recreation room with fireplace, dining room and kitchen. The white walls and open plan visually expand space. Wooden beamed ceilings and a brick wall in the hallway make the contrast in the whole interior. Bright accents in the form of furniture, accessories and art objects are creating a cozy atmosphere.

Hosts of this unusual loft are Canadian actors Paul Gross and Martha Bruns. The couple dreamed of this home in New York for years, but for a long time they could not find a suitable space. Eventually the family patience was rewarded and they found a lovely room in the building, which once housed a garment factory.

Aligning bohemian style with oriental motifs and clean New York space the owners got their dream home – a bright, impressive and unusual loft.

The design of the elegant urban loft SF Loft was created by architectural studio Wardell + SaganProjekt. This apartment is located in San Francisco, California and is a renovated space of a former plant.

An interesting mix of concrete walls, wooden floors and ceilings attract attention in this democratic interior. The ceilings made a good context for expressive elements of decor and artworks of the modern world.

An imaginatively designed apartment of the famous actor is located in the central part of Chelsea, one of the boroughs of New York. Gerard Butler’s loft occupies two floors of a former warehouse. We can say that the original design is consistent with the line of roles of the popular Hollywood star.

The actor thought long enough about the design of the apartment. After reviewing many design ideas, Butler chose the version proposed by the art director Elvis Restaino, with whom he designed and decorated his home. Now the actor’s apartment looks more like a well-assembled cinematic scenery in the old style.
