Item Of The Week: Beaded Chandelier by Marjorie Skouras

Designer Marjorie Skouras has created a series of beaded chandeliers that are modern, elegant and simply chic. Made entirely out of bright beads the chandeliers have a classic shape but altogether look fresh and interesting. Each chandelier is decorated with different color stones that frame and accentuate the shape.

Marjorie Skouras who has been in film business for about seventeen years has graduated from U.C.L.A with B.A. in Art History and later has become a designer working on Design Showcase houses and spacious residences. In 2011 Marjorie Skouras has released a line for Currey & Company, which retails the Hedy Chandelier in turquoise and cream. Hedy and Empire chandeliers are very much alike only Hedy is a bit brighter in turquoise.

Marjorie Skouras’ beaded chandeliers do not only add a bright pop of color to the interior designs seen below but they also add texture and detail to them. Being truly statement chandeliers these beaded wonders can decorate almost any room. Just take a look at the neutral dining room above. Turquoise chandelier also looks beautiful in the bright pink interior.

Hedy chandelier is available from Currey & Company and is made of wrought iron and crystal with pyrite bronze, turquoise and jade finish. It has four lights and maximum wattage of 60. Also available in glass with pyrite bronze, cream and grayfininsh.
