Francis mirror from Petite Friture is an amazing example of how a mirror itself can be both functional and so decorative. This amazing beautiful “aging mirror”, as designer says, effect resulted from experiments with chromatic pigments on water. The mirror itself has a conventional round shape and a minimalist frame.
ZigZag modular mirror system by MUT Design is comprised of several independent colorful pieces attached at 45 degree angle that together make for an interesting color gradient that ends with a wider smooth reflecting surface. ZigZag makes for a stylish wall decor beside its mirroring properties.
Combining Corian and Swarovski crystals Bodo Sperlein created an Eclipse Mirror back in 2007 presented at Maison & Objet which was backlit with fluorescent lights making the crystals reflect light and shine like lunar crates.
