House Bern Heim Beuk Built With Nature In Mind

Share |

House Bern Heim Beuk designed by Architecten De Vylder Vinck was built with nature in mind. Since the building site featured many trees it was decided to make one of them a part of the structure. Taking into consideration the specifics of the construction site the architects have incorporated the tree into a house design so that it has become a of the exterior.

The house turned out small and compact but still quite spacious on the inside. The facade is finished with wooden beams as the back of the house. The tree is captured within this open space between the house and beams. The tree goes through the hole in the roof.
