Exposed Brick In Interior Design

Share |

Exposed brick is a great decoration not only in industrial interiors but also in modern, shabby chic, and minimalist homes. There is some elusive charm about exposed brick and you can exploit it beautifully in your design.

There are many ways to introduce it into the interior but it looks best in its original state – real brick wall without any plaster, although you can leave a part of that plaster on to create an uneven shape instead of a uniform square or rectangle (or whatever shape your walls are).

For instance, an exposed brick backsplash looks amazing albeit being too impractical in terms of cleaning. The brick wall can look unexpected in a bathroom that’s for sure. But you can also make your doorways or window walls in brick to add an unusual detail to the room.

One of the ways to make your fireplace stand out is to lay it out with brick.
